It may be a good idea for the government to encourage employer to offer half day job with full time employment benefit (half).

Some company may not require full time employee and offering such scheme may help them to reduce cost and increase their productivity.

This will also create more jobs for our fellow Singaporean especially the housewives and the retirees.

The whole idea is to create a class of longer term employment instead of employing part-timer where the turnover is high. This will save much work for the employer instead of constantly looking out for part-timers and as for the employee it will also offer some form of job security instead of shorter term engagement.

I totally agree with. This was what I have been thinking all the way. Companies should consider providing a permanent half-day to anyone who is eligible for the position. Sometimes a normal working hours is not fully utilized.

Most people spend their time chatting away in the office. For me, as someone who likes to get my work done fast and prompt, I find myself very free all the time and end up helping others who may in return, did less work than me.

So, I guess this idea is seemingly very useful. Hopefully all companies out there may be able to start this kind of working hours made possible.

Cheers.

So, I guess this idea is seemingly very useful. Hopefully all companies out there may be able to start this kind of working hours made possible.

Come on people, what do you think of this? Share with us and let it be heard.

Cheers.
