Current school environment for small kids are air-conditioned, that is main cause of so many common diseases( cold, flu). virus or bacteria continuously circulating in class room which cause frequent sickness for the younger kids.
Unfortunately non of pre-school have good ventilated class room.
and parent too sending the kids to school even child have cold or cough and spreading the diseases.
I agree with vkannanm, I feel that many childcare centres these days are in void decks/ underground bunkers. It is definitely not a healthy environment to grow up in.
I suggest that the government build childcare centres in park and gardens. This nurtures a love for the environment and a respect for Nature in the children, and also provides them a fresh and bright environment to play and study in (:
I don't think it is a good idea to have childcare centres in parks/gardens. They simply seems out of place. I think childcare centres at the void decks are better as it is more convenient for parents to fetch their child to and fro. Furthermore, it saves space as well. Building a childcare centre in gardens remove some greenery from it, hence I do not encourage the idea of it.
Kids have short attention span. If you give them a well-ventilated area (fans and windows) to study in, they might feel hot in the afternoon. They will then not pay attention, affecting their studying. If it's simply a childcare centre, I believe that parents will want to send their child to somewhere where they'll enjoy themselves, and not suffer in the heat (I know it sounds exaggerated, but you get the idea).
